recovery after c-section- anyone had these symptoms?

I had a planned section 5 weeks ago. Recovery has been great.

However I woke this morning with stomach cramps (under ribs not near scar), and have now got back pain, headache, fuzzy head, loss of appetite and i feel hot (but no temp i think).

I am worried it is due to doing too much pushchair walking in last 3 days. The weather has been so great i wanted
to make the most of it.

Anyone had this, and how quickly did you feel better. Pains are worse after standing, but come in waves at other times too.

Will go to doc tomorrow if don't feel better. No bleeding down below, or sickness/diorrea (sp).

I haven't any c-section experience and really don't want to freak you out at all. A few weeks after DS was born I had what I thought was just regular back/shoulder pain but it got progressively worse over a couple of days and turned out to be pulmonary embolisms (lung clots). Pregnancy, childbirth and surgery are all risk factors for clotting and they don't always start with DVT's - seriously if it gets worse or if you have any problems breathing at all get to A&E.

thanks treacletart- pain isn't getting worse, just always niggling constantly, with the odd cramp. I will defo see someone if it gets worse, as have 2 DC's to look after and need to feel better.

Glad you were diagnosed quickly and i assume you recovered well from this ordeal.

Hiya, I had those symptoms and had retained placenta, it's worth going to the docs to get it checked.

WMMC- would i not still be bleeding if that was the case, as heavy bleeding stopped within 10-14 days, and only a little (brown) discharge now?

Hello, sorry had to go see to DD - not necessarily. I stopped bleeding mostly on day three or so and had no more bleeding except a bit of spotting. I assumed all was well, then suddenly I started to get pain and flu like symptoms. I just didn't feel 'right'. Luckily my HV clucked away until I went to the GP and was admitted the same day for IV antibiotics and a scan.
