Have had biopsy results today. He does not have lymphoma Can't begin to explain how wonderful it feels. Thanks so much for everyone's support during this awful few weeks.
We still need to know why such an everyday bacteria has taken such a hold on him. the consultant believes it's either he was so busy fighting the MMR he couldn't fight this, or he has an immune system problem. We have to go back for one last test next week to establish that his immune system is ok - I am sure it is as he is so rarely ill, has had colds etc which have never caused him much trouble etc.

Great news! It must be a real weight off your mind. I can only imagine how stressful the last few weeks must have been.

Fabulous although weirdly have had panicky tight feeling in my chest for last half an hour. Must be the tension hitting me?

oh excellent news

have to say that DD was so busy fighting MMR she caught pneumonia (although that's my theory and all doctors at hospital were at pains to tell me it wasn't connected)

hope his immune system is ok

saggarmakersbottomknocker · 01/08/2007 18:38

You'll probably be in need of a stiff drink and a bit of a weep. You'll feel much better.

It could have been the 10 bite sized mini rolls I ate while waiting for the call
