Ear thermometer - any tips on how to get my 2 year old to let me take her temperature?

Any ideas?

I have tried taking her dolly's temperature first and the dolly was perfectly behaved and didn't even stop smiling for a moment. For some reason though, my 2 year old is less keen....

bribe them with sweeties!!

let her do yours so she can see it doesn't hurt

Tell her it is magic and the fairies need to know how hot she is.

Or just lay on her!

It took two of us to hold her down and do it.

LOL @ the fairies! I don't think we have a concept of magic in our house but maybe I should introduce it - some fairies might be useful allies in all sorts of situations!

Had the same problem with DS.
But he was less screamy when I let him do it to me first (rather than teddy).

But it still involved me pinning his arms down. Good luck.

yep agree mine always have to take my temperature first !!!

I can imagine the lions and tigers thing working because it is just so bizarre it may just catch her attention.
