DH is very fit and seldom ill. He is quite atopic though (is that the right word for being allergic to things?). He is dangerously allergic to honey bees (he's meant to have an epipen but he forgets to renew it). Over the past few years he has the occasional bout of getting really wheezy and coughs and coughs. He says he feel s his chest tighten and he sounds phlegmy. Usually happens in the eve, we used to think it was a food thing and I have stopped using any artificial ingredients in our food as something used to make his tongue tingle and throat itch. He now says it might be dust (how very dare he!!). It only happens in our sitting room and oddly a good friend of ours who also has asthma gets really bad if she sits in our sitting room for any length of time.

I hoover lots and it's actually quite a minimist room without too much dust collecting clutter, rugs throws etc.. If it is dust why only in this room and only at certain times.

Any ideas what else might trigger it? Is it the sort of thing he can be tested for? I have tried to get him to the docs but failed.
