Please help. Over the last 48hrs my wisdom tooth has become really painful. The gums are all swollen around it, biting hurts loads, my jaw aches, it’s sore to swallow and there’s pus 🤢- basically I am feeling really sorry for myself! I can’t get a dentist appointment before tomorrow lunchtime so need some advice to help me cope until then please. I am taking regular paracetamol and gargling with salt water - does anyone have any suggestions that may help please?

Try co-codomol instead of paracetamol and nurofen for the gum inflammation.
