Hi I am getting ready to have Endometrial Biopsy. I notice no one has ask about this in a very long time. Has anyone had one recently. I am very scared of the procedure. Thanks!

Hi I had hysteroscopy d& c and endometrial biopsy which confirmed an endometrial polyp. Done under general anaesthetic no problems at all xx

I had one last week with no anaesthetic. If you are going that route take your own pain meds before you go in and in good time so they have time to work.

I had a d&c, polyp removal, and a biopsy of two areas.

It was painful but nothing that I couldn't handle and I hadn't taken any pain relief hence my advice! They will stop if you ask them to, or slow down.
I believe you can ask for a general or sedation. If they struggle to do it or it's too painful they will stop and book you in for a general.

I was out in half an hour and back to normal life.

Good luck.

I've had 2, both under general, went fine and both clear - one took 3 months to tell me all clear but other came back in 3 days. It was only the general which bothered me but most of that is few first hours. Second time they removed fibroids. I had no choice but a general though that was fine with me.

Would go for some pain relief.
