In a panic about a new mole

I have health anxiety so I’m very stressed any way, but at the weekend I noticed a mole on my back that I hadn’t seen before. Managed to find an old photo of me on the beach 14 years ago when I was 29 and definitely didn’t have it then. I have made a drs appointment but do you think it looks a bit worrying? Has anyone had new moles in 40’s and ok. I’m in such a state as my father is battling skin cancer

Sorry you’re worrying. Is the brown mike that’s new or the small red one? You’re doing the right thing getting it checked, hopefully your GP will reassure you.

Mike? Mole obviously!

Honestly having had several removed yours likes fine, but do still get checked.

My daughter has just remarked about one on my back, it’s small but looks dark, fortunately I have managed to get GP appointment tomorrow, just trying to stay busy and keep away from google till then!

Yeah sometimes I find new moles.

The best newbie was a papilloma (sp? ugly scabby wart, anyway) that doc said would never go away.
It suddenly went away after about 9 months.

Let us know what doc tells you.
