What's this on my leg??

I could feel an itchy lump under my trousers today and it was this--;

Any idea what it could be?! It's very tender and still a bit itchy, thought not so much.

Have you travelled outside UK recently?

It's clearly a bite of some sort.

I had a horsefly bite not long ago that was a bit like that but it became 4 x as big as yours and all the skin was flushed around it- took 2 weeks to go away.

Put antiseptic on and take an antihistamine tablet. See GP if it gets much worse or you get a fever.

Ingrown hair I'd say. Slather it with savlon and keep an eye.

Thanks all - no trips abroad lately and don't think it's an ingrown hair - it's above my knee and don't shave there. Probably a bite, I'll keep an eye on it. Appreciate all of your advice x
