How worried should I be? Anxiety.

So, I ate a few slices of cake left in the work kitchen that apparently had been left out overnight. Work is an old building and has been known to have mice. How worried should I be that l will contract an illness from consuming said cake? I obviously didn't see any signs of mouse activity around the cake but know that they urinate constantly and carry a number of diseases.

You'll be fine...honestly don't worry about it.

I'd be worried if you left some cake for others 😂

Itll be fine OP

Jemima232 · 11/07/2019 01:17

I wouldn't give it another thought, OP.

I accidentally ate mouse droppings once and survived

How mean to not want to share cake with sweet little furry creatures Wink.

You'll be fine - unless the cake was laced with poison......but a bit of mouse urine will not hurt you. I hope you are reassured by that thought Smile.

Thank you all, this has really helped. I sometimes get so stuck in my own head that outside perspectives are invaluable. This is the best bit of mumsnet. Thanks again, you lovely people.
