Hay fever and wheezing

I suffer from hay fever, however this past week I have also been wheezing and feeling like I'm out of breath. I seem to be worse morning and evening when the pollen is at it's worse. Is this a common hay fever symptom or something else?
I can't get to the gp until Thursday due to work.

Sounds like you need asthma pumps.

I've had this during the hay fever season too. I was given an asthma inhaler bymy GP for occasional use when my symptoms got bad.

Thanks. I ended up at a&e this morning, I couldn't get a breath, I went all light headed and had pins and needles in my hands. Turns out I was panicking because I couldn't get a breath and hyperventilating. My oxygen levels had dropped so was on some oxygen and discharged after a few hours with an inhaler.

Glad they managed to sort you out at A&E OP. It's a strange feeling isn't it - you feel like you should be able to relax and breathe calmly, but somehow that doesn't help. I've only had it a few times so tend to forget about it for years. I was put on an oxygen machine at my GP surgery once, I'd forgotten about that. Hope you feel better now and keep the inhaler handy so you can nip it in the bud if it happens again.
