My last 4 urine samples have shown mixed organisms but no sign of infection. I had a hysterectomy last year with few utis since, but don't seem to have uti symptoms (except lower back pain). My doctor is referring me to a Urologist but I'm just wondering if anyone has experience of mixed flora/organisms but no infection showing up, and found out reasons for it??

Yes I've had the mixed growth thing. I'm not sure why but I've always had an infection, it just doesn't seem to show up on at the lab.

Thanks Tantastic, just wondering about anyone else's experience, as I've been told no infection but mixed organisms and blood showing up in samples.

If there is blood they should normally err on the side of caution and give you something anyway as a lot of urine infections don't always show up. I seem to permanently have micro blood in my urine but I've been told by the experts it can sometimes be normal. I've had all the tests cystoscopy etc etc.

Mixed growth I think can just mean the sample is contaminated from other things, I'm sure that's what they told me. It's perfectly common, I wouldn't worry about it.
