DS (5weeks) has had colic and is now bringing up his feeds. I suspect it might be the result of my taking antibiotics. Should I try the drops?

I had antibiotics at 5 weeks also, and it co-incided with the start of my DDs colic. I used the drops, although I can't say that I saw any improvement in her. (Sorry!) They must be kept in the fridge if I remember correctly.

The doc also recommended that I drank a probiotic once a day, one that contains something called inulin. Can't remember which one I used now, but it was yum and seemed to make me feel much healthier.

Looking back, I think that the anti-bs and the start of the colic symptoms were just coincidence. I sympathize, it was quite difficult times. The colic went at around 12 weeks. If it's any consolation, she's now 10mo and has been a dream baby from that 12week point!

BTW, someone suggested that colic was due to overstimulation of a newborn. Putting her in her pram for a nap at about 4 o'clock, in a completely dark room, in total silence did help. (Early evening was called arsenic hour in our house!)
