Sinus Infection-do I need antibiotics?

Dd ha cold gave it to me, cold went now left with sinus infection for 2 weeks! Driving me crazy ! The congestion and blocked nose mainly! Went gp yest took my temp fine explained I was dizzy nauseous and headaches etc he was like u don't need antibiotics etc as 98% is viral which is fine but I've read if it's been over 10 days then you antibiotics!
Thinking of gettin second opinion tomorrow from another gp, any thoughts thanks ? Xx

I have found neilmed sinus rinse and avamys spray very helpful for sinus problems (think the spray might be prescription only)

I think because it has been 2 weeks with no sign of it going away on its own you're well within your rights to push for antibiotics at this stage! Sinus infections don't always show up as a raised temperature, so your GP is on dodgy ground there. Definitely get that second opinion if you can, hope they give you what you need
