I am waiting for results of a smear test I had on 9th July, still no news. Doctor told me they would write to me.
Any ideas anyone?

I'm trying to gear myself up to go get one.

I had a letter in this morning, reminding me & it said on that I should know the results within 6 weeks.

Mine was done in March, result came through last week

I'd forgotten all about it, tbh!

Mine was about 7 weeks. The results were sent to GP surgery and then forwarded so if you call you may find out when they expect them.

weebleswobble · 26/07/2007 21:26

It depends where you live, but can be up to 3 months.

mumfor1standfinaltime · 26/07/2007 21:27

Maybe I will call surgery tomorrow. Doctor said it would come direct to me, but I suppose they send it to doc first.

It seems so long to wait for a result, 3 months. I guess it can depend on where you live and how many tests they are doing.

I'm always told to wait 10 weeks.

vixma · 26/07/2007 21:34

I was told 3 weeks, good luck....vixma

Thanks, at least I know it can take a while for a result.
