Ahhhh I have some rash on my back that the doc things is hives but was rather puzzled by and it is so effing itchy I can't believe it. Like prickly heat x 10.

Anyone got any solutions I can try - already taken an antihistamine and had some steroid cream prescribed but it is still so damn itchy.

Go back to the GP tomorrow.

I had hives like this and only steroid cream + oral steroids took them out.

No idea why I got them. It was right after I had DD1 and the hormones were all over the place and it was about 30 degrees.

Thanks expat.

Not sure what has caused mine either (not related to birth as ds is 2!) I didn't have them til shortly after I woke up this am.

Bizarrely I was seeing a dermatologist today over something entirely unrelated. He said he thinks it is bad hives but didn't seem 100% sure. It's flat and looks like exceptionally red sunburn (but isn't as it hadn't been sunny for ages and I hadn't had my back in the sun!)

And it's not the heat causing it that's for sure is it! If only it were 30 degrees!

All very odd. How long did yours last?!

No idea how I'm going to sleep tonight.

Did the steroids have side effects?

Mine looked like poison ivy - felt like it, too.

Except it wasn't!

It was on both my calves.

Took a fortnight to go away because I did the steroid cream for a week and it was still there so I was prescribed the oral steroids on top of another cream and that got rid of it.

Arrggggh!! SOOO itchy!

Hope yours goes away, too.
