Ive had some ectopic beats and occasional tachycardia before but been seen by cardiologist all normal and im not on any medication.

Ive recently picked up a bug runny nose sore throat a bit clammy but no fever. Ive just had some palpitations like skipped beats in a row and its worried me. Can palpitations increase with a cold? I havent taken any cold or flu meds.

Yes, if your electrolytes get low arrythmias can increase in frequency and duration. Fighting a cold can definitely use up your reserves. Eat a banana, drink full fat milk and eat a bag of crisps (potassium calcium and sodium) magnesium is more tricky, so try almonds or cashews, but you might need to take a supplement for that. And stay away from pseudoephedrine in sudafed etc, that can really create arrthymia havoc
