Kidney problem? What should we ask for?

Three months ago 16yo dd was admitted to hospital with a large kidney abscess. She had IV antibiotics and oral antibiotics, and recovered. We were warned that it could take 6 weeks before she fully recovered, but even so, she has not been 100% since then. She has pains, fatigue and nausea, but no fever or infection.

Next week dd has her review in the hospital. She had an US scan 2 months ago that showed no evidence of the abscess. But, given how dd has been, I want further investigation to be absolutely sure that the abscess is completely gone, and to try and identify the cause of her pains etc.

What could we expect to be suggested? What should I ask for?
