I haven't been to the doctor's for years and recently I've noticed a pain in my middle finger on my right hand. It hurts when I make a tight fist and generally pressing the finger down. If I hit it slightly its quite painful or any kind of pressure on it. I'm not sure but was thinking it might be the start of arthritis? I don't know whether to get it checked as mostly it doesn't bother me. Should I get it checked now or wait to see if it gets worse? Also today both my hands and feet felt tingly like they do when you come out of the cold. It was only for about 10 seconds that I noticed it anyone experienced this before when it hasn't been cold?

Definitely get it checked out, always best to be safe than sorry.
If you really don't want to go to the GP you could ask a pharmacists opinion.
