DD1 has chicken pox since friday and is feeling very miserable...I'm a bit worried, she's really tired and is now sleeping and 38 degrees temperature. Is it normal ?

Also, I have another little DD, she's almost 10 weeks old and is exclusively bf, is she immune against chicken pox or should I expect her as well to get chicken pox ?

Thank you for your kind help

Hi - DS1 3yo had this about 4 weeks ago, then DS2 who was 7.5 weeks at the time got it about 2 weeks later. Just wanted to let you know that he only got about 8 spots in total all really small and nothing like his brother had who had about 100 spots! DS2 didn't seem really ill at all, was only slightly moany and sleeping at night was just the same. Just awful having the lurg and no-one wanting to have anything to do with you. Hope all better soon.

Thank you gegs !!! you are nice, I'm not dreading to stay indoors with the small one it's DD1 (3 years old) that I'm dreading to keep her indoor for the next few days.

DC had chicken pox earlier this year - DS (2.9 at the time) got it first and passed it to his sister (6 months at the time and also exculsively bf). Don't give littlest one Piriton - I was advised to use Medised for under ones, BUT PLEASE CHECK if it's OK to give that to a baby as little as 10 weeks.

Other tricks I found - put some porrige oats in the toe of an old tight, and swish it round the bath water. Seemed to work for my 2. Also, Calamine cream was better than calamine lotion.
Hope you're all over it soon. And that they don't pass it to anyone else - mine gave it to their grandpa (FIL)

Here are a couple of good sites.

As for the 10 week old, I think it is likely that she can catch them. Call your doctor and see if it is to late for vaccination.
