Dull ache in chest

I know I'm going to get a ton of people telling me to just go to the dr as soon as I say chest pain, but I am always extremely hesitant to visit hospitals or my GP, as I don't like to bother them.

Anyways I've got a pain, like a dull ache in my left upper chest area, closer to the outer side, rather than the centre area. It's been going on for 48hrs now and it's quite sore. I'm not doubled over in pain but I am constantly thinking about it as it's enough for me to not be able to forget it's there. I've tried paracetamol and ibuprofen and have had no relief.
I can't tell if the pain is coming from my actual breast or the area directly under the breast tissue if you know what I mean.

Anyone have any idea what it could be?

Could be many things, including a heart attack. Get yourself to A&E. Not a single health care professional in the world considers chest pain as a waste of their time.

I had something very similar last week, went to the Drs and they said it was inflammation of the chest cartilage-it at the end of your ribs where they meet in the middle. Dr also said a woman's heart attack is different from a man's, women get clammy, have a pain in their left arm and a feeling like toothache in the left side of their jaw. Lots of women just keep going through it where as a man clutches his chest and has pains. I'd still go get checked out all the same.
