Pain in my left breast

Just that really... have been experiencing pain in one of my boobs, radiates under my armpit and down my arm. I’ve seen my gp and now have to wait 10 days to see a breast consultant to rule out cancer. I keep telling myself it’s something or nothing but can’t help worrying. No other signs or symptoms and I’m 47. Hoping it’s just my dodgy hormones. Does anyone else have similar experiences they could share with me? Thanks x

I had a very similar pain issue, had a mammogram and exam done at hospital which came back as being normal. The pain then disappeared just like that. In my case I truly believe it was initially a nerve pain, which then became more psychosomatic and fuelled by anxiety. Try not to worry,op. Thanks

I too have this. It’s in my right breast. Wondering if it’s my bra not fitting properly. I hope it all goes well for you. Let us know how you get on

I had on and off breast pain for months. Had routine mammogram in April and came back fine.
Bought new bras - in Victoria’s Secrets- pain has disappeared completely. The underwire in new bras comes all the way up around the bra cup - older bras it didn’t .

So, it’s not cancer... I’ve had a mammogram today and all was clear. The consultant thinks it’s muscular. Still no wiser and in complete agony after having my boob crushed between two plates! So relieved though. Love our nhs!

I'm glad that you got reassuring news. Have you thought that your bras maybe to blame? It might be worth getting remeasured? I remember I was given a leaflet about cyclical breast pain. Did they talk to you about that at your appointment? Apparently hormone related. Isn't everything?
