Foliculitis - anyone elses DC's had it?

DS2 has it at the moment. He is on oral penicilin and has Fucabet cream.
He looks a right mess - por dab.
Wondering how long it will last?
And is there anyhting else I can use to help clear it?

i dont have a child with it but my dh had it recently on the tops of his legs,It was like a round red patch and there was a little blister in the middle of it,A course of antibiotics soon put him right and he hasnt been affected by it again.

forgot to answe your question,it went away very very quickly once he had started on his medicine,within a couple of days there was a vast improvement and i would say at the end of a week it was gone entirely.
