Tonsillitis

So I’ve had a sore throat since yesterday, went to doctors today as noticed white spots and have been given phenoxymethlpenicillin
Just wondered how long until antibiotics start to take the pain away?

In my experience it's usually 1 to 2 days that they start to work in killing off the infection so pain/ general illness wise, start to feel better.
