I have been known to. Either that or I get constipated.

Yes I do, and I recall that this can sometimes be a symptom of endometriosis (sp).

bobsmum · 19/07/2007 14:22

Oh yes.

Yes, I get shocking runs and really, really smelly farts.

(Why are we wording carefully? Am I just extremely de-sensitised due to potty training and endless reading of "Everybody poos"?)

Jenkeywerewolf · 19/07/2007 14:27

yes, really bad crampy stomach and the runs. I know a couple of my friends get this too. It adds insult to injury really doesn't it? as if having a period is not bad enough.

Yes I do! Spoke to Practise Nurse who said my dodgy belly was failry common during periods. I suppose when you think about it, you can get the back door trots in labour, so my reasoning is its hormonal!

PMSL at back door trots!

I get constipated, then it goes the other way. Well, it doesn't go the other way, ahhhh, you know what I mean!

I found high fat, refined carbs made it worse - probably the worst thing would be pizza. I try to avoid anything that might potentially upset my stomach such as curry as the explosive consequences are ten-fold when coupled with a period.

mankyscotslass · 19/07/2007 15:58

Def agree with the high fat/carbs making it worse...thing is that's what i crave when i am on! And drink makes it worse as well I have found, even only a small glass or two.
