Hi, ive been on cerazette for 10 months now as i couldnt take combined pill any longer due to migraines. my periods have stopped, 3 months ago ( panicked and thought i was pg,) and since then ive had loads of headaches. i decided to stop taking the pill all together the other day and thought i would have a break from it. Still getting headaches though!! has anyone else had this problem and will they ever stop now im off the pill???? and will my periods return!!

You must go to your local FP clinic, they are much more qualified to deal with contraception than your GP. They train specifically in contraception and will find you contraception to regulate your periods, which will {hopefully} not give you migraines. Please go. Here is a link where you can find your local clinic

BTW cerazette is not widely given to the over 35's.

oh i hadn't thought of that. well I am 32 so wouldn't be able to take it long term anyway then. i've tried so many pills and the depo injection which was hell!! i just dont think there is much out there that suits me. relying on rubbers at the mo....do you know why its not normally given to over 35's?

I have been on cerazette for about the same time.

I had a small break (about a month)and then started taking again. In this first packet I have had two periods and more days with headaches than not.

I do find that alot of my headaches are hormonal. Thats why I went onto cerezette (no periods, no headaches). But while I wasn't taking it I didn't have any headaches. Only hangovers

I can't remember why cerazatte is not given to the over 35's, I went to my fp clinic last year to change my pill and the nurse was so good she had loads of pills in front of her and went through which ones would suit me or not, she picked up cerazette and said no not this one you are nearly 35, (I was peed of as I was 34.5 and didn't want to feel 35) and its not good for the over 35's. Go they are great as they are trained in fp andas they do it al the time they will no what is best for you. How is your blood pressure?

its fine, no problems there. just migraine problems. ive stopped taking it the beginning of this week to see if migraines stop but they havent. i think i will go to fpc and see what they say.
