Antibiotic question

I get a lot of UTIs so many I must take an antibiotic every day to keep them away and have sample bottles and test strips at home. Sometimes though it doesn't work and they get me. Just done a sample and it looks like I've the start of one.

The antibiotics I have are twice a day ones (trimethoprim ive a lot of 100mg and the gp advise was two twice a day when infection otherwise one at night) so evening and morning is it ok to wait until my evening meal to start them? I should have begun than this morning when I suspected but the test strip then was ok so assumed i was wrong!

Nhsdirect were useless and gp surgery can only offer nurse appointment on Friday until then advice is drink cranberry juice (I'm diabetic so can't do that) and lots of water (am doing that!) and uti cranberry sachet from chemist (again as diabetic I cannot do that either) uti isn't emergency unless cannot urinate at all and I can - they can look at sample on Friday and give antibiotics then but not before. Both said not to take the antibiotics my GP prescribed me and to throw what I have in the bin, my GP is away this week so tell them to speak to her and I'm not throwing them away as I need them as they're my daily treatment!

Literally wanted to know if ok to wait until evening meal to take first dose i know if i leave it until Friday I won't be able to urinate anymore as that's why I'm on daily antibiotics and have the equipment I do to prevent that.
