Pains in my legs

BernardoTeashop · 11/05/2019 18:52

I’ve been a bit run down for the last few weeks. More exhausted than usual due to struggling to breathe because of horrible hay fever.
For the last week I’ve had pains in my legs. Started in my hips and now down each leg. Throbbing muscular pain and my legs feel really heavy.
Has anyone had anything similar or any ideas what might be going on?
Thanks

I had something similar about a month ago, pains in hips going down both legs, I couldn’t remember pulling a muscle or anything and seemed worse at night or when sitting down, I couldn’t sleep very well and it lasted about a week then disappeared and I have been fine since. I did wonder if it was some vitamin deficiency and took some multivitamin tablets daily or if it was restless legs. Hopefully yours will just disappear also

Thanks so much for your reply. I’m glad your pain disappeared and hopefully mine will too

Mine was definitely much worse at night and sitting down, I had to keep getting up in the evening while watching tv as the aching pain was quite bad but was relieved by walking about, that is why I thought it might be restless legs. I was really worried it might never go.

My legs ache when I'm due my B12 injection. I would probably pop to the GP and get some bloods done. I'm anaemic/B12/Vit D and folic acid deficient and it honestly makes you feel really run down and achey.

Thanks for the advice. I will make an appointment with the go as I’m running on empty at the moment

I had this when I had low vitamin D. I take a high dose supplement (OTC) and it settled down. It’s worth a GP visit though,

Definitely get your bloods done to rule deficiencies in or out; B12, iron, ferritin (iron stores - just as important as your circulating iron) and vitD are the most obvious ones for this kind of symptom. Are you peri/menopausal? My legs ache quite often, especially in the mornings.

BernardoTeashop · 11/05/2019 21:24

I think I’m peri menopausal and of this is a symptom of that then it’s a cruel world. The stuff is women have to go through! I will definitely make a gp appointment

Heavy legs is a thing wearing uncomfortable shoes started mine. Teach me to go for fashion over comfort

I've had this for the last week and I think it was part of a virus as I had a rash also on my neck and a chesty cough ,pains in my legs were unreal but thankfully it seems to be easing off now .
