homeopathy for baby with mumps?

My 9 month old has mumps on left side only, & one of my books says to give Rhus Tox 30c which I actually have at home because our arthritic dog takes it! What dose should I give, if at all, & should I crush the pills?

Hi, wads. Give your baby the same amount you give your dog, and crush them.

All evidence suggests that homeopathy is very successful in babies.

thanks!

Go to a qualified classical homoeopath - not everybody needs the same remedy. Do you want a recommendation? (depending upon where you are of course)

Personally, I would wait and consult your homoeopath. But I've had it drummed into me v. firmly that self-prescribing is not wise.

"All evidence suggests that homeopathy is very successful in babies. "

Oh come on Desiderata, you can't say that. What about the evidence that suggests homeopathy is nonsense for everyone?

TooTicky · 18/07/2007 22:33

Homoeopathy is so often misused. Over-the-counter remedies and mixed remedies are a joke. Homoeopathy really works, but it has to be done properly and scientifically.

With all due respect, is there a name for this planet where it's reasonable to give a dog and a baby the same "medicine" and expect it to work for both mumps and arthritis?

Agreed with the "give same dose", though. It does not matter if you give 1 or 10 pills, since they practically don't contain any of the active substance written on the bottle. Maybe a molecule. If you are lucky.
