Period won't stop. 8 days and counting.

I had my copper coil removed on the 2nd May, came on as normal the next day, and as of today I am still bleeding. I am quite concerned but not sure what a doctor could do, I feel fine realistically, but I'm just confused as I have never had a period last this long before.

Bleeding post-coil removal is pretty normal - mine lasted 3 weeks. I had a 3 month long period once, that was fun. No more hormonal contraception for me!

After stopping the pill once I bled for about 3 weeks it stopped before I got an appointment to see the gp and I presume it was just messed up hormones. I do remember getting a bit concerned towards the end of it though. Unless it’s heavy then I’d give it a few more days and presume it’s related to having the coil out.
