What on earth is wrong with me? Could it be my Thyroid?

(Just in case, not that I think they trog through general health but still - lazy journos working for crappy tabloids can fuck off and do some real journalism!)

I would appreciate any input. I haven’t been well since February. I had a chest infection that needed antibiotics and steroids. A week later I had a sudden worsening of symptoms of altered sensation in my hands, arms and feet and pain in my neck. MRI showed bulging discs but other than that was normal as was a nerve conduction test. I’m waiting for physio.

For the last two weeks I’ve also had swollen arms and legs, at times my face. Bloods for autoimmune and Lupus were normal. It hasn’t responded to antihistamines. My other symptoms include fatigue (but then is that just because I’m doing less?), some weight gain (but I’m at home and eating more), feeling cold a lot, my skin in thin in places (almost translucent in one patch on my face). I’ve had bloods done to check my thyroid today. Nurse Practitioner at the GP practice said I probably need referring but isn’t sure who to refer to? Any similar experiences would be welcomed. Thanks.
