I'm sure it's not but know whether I should take him to GP or not.

He is getting over a cold and complained of sore throat on Mon but this has gone now - just left with croaky/deep voice.

Off on hols Sat, so maybe I should take to GP just in case - throat infection maybe?

Anyone any thoughts?

TIA

Merlin, their voices go through changes right the way from being about 3 - the vocal chords start thickening, it really isn't such a 'clean cut' thing. What does his voice sound like?

Just a bit deeper - and a little bit croaky now and then.

It's probably just maturing a bit. Try getting him to do some sirens, from the bottom of his voice to the top, and see if you can get him up high - I'm sure his voice isn't breaking! (THe correct term these days is changing, and this happens from age 3 onwards - it's an onward progression rather than a single event!).
