Any eye experts have a second for advice?

Any eye experts / opticians / fellow contact wearers - would love some advice!

I wear acuvue daily contacts and if I don't have them in I feel pretty dizzy as everything is fuzzy and I get a headache etc

I'm away at the moment and stupidly haven't packed enough contacts for tomorrow, but will be home by tomorrow evening.

Would it be really damaging to keep my dailies in overnight and sleep in them so I still have them in tomorrow?

Or better to take them out and just accept that tomorrow will be pretty rubbish until I'm home and can get my hands on my supply of contacts?

I know it's too late to reply to this but I thought this might be helpful for the future - I used to work in ophthalmology.

Please never, ever wear contact lenses overnight while you sleep - whether they are daily or monthly or whatever! It's a very bad idea. I have seen horrendous corneal ulcers form because people have done this. These are very painful and can be difficult to treat and can even risk your sight.

So for future reference please never do this and just grin and bear it until you can get some new contacts. Honestly the risks are just not worth it!

Thank you SO MUCH I wouldn't have realised just how harmful it is (thought it might just make them a bit sore for a day) and I definitely won't put my eyes through it in future.

Really appreciate you replying Star
