Pain in thigh

Hi , I’ve just booked a Dr’s appt for the last few months I lay awake with pain in the top of my thigh & down my leg . I never have this pain during the day just at night
Any advice ?

Does the pain ease when you bend your legs/put a pillow under knees?
Could be a sciatica. When lying down there could be something putting pressure on the sciatic nerve. See your GP. Also consider seeing an Osteopath.

I had terrible pains for a while in my thigh. A single session with a chiropractor cured them.

Sounds like sciatica. I get it sometimes. Always in the evening and at night time- starts in my buttock, goes down the back of my thigh and down to my calf. On particularly bad days my toes tingle with it.

I went to physio and was told to do core strengthening exercises - transverse abdominal strengthening.

Thankyou for your replies maybe it is Sciatica , I took a couple of pain killers before I went to bed which helped me sleep as the pain is terrible
