Bladder growth anyone?

So I’ve been diagnosed with a small bladder growth (papillary tumour)... on the 2ww right now to have it removed. I’m 35 with two dd’s 2 & 5. Has anyone had any experience of this? I’m finding the cancer thread too overwhelming. I’m so scared, any hand holds or reassurance...

Never smoked, hardly drink, healthy, I don’t understand this...

Hi Widget, I remember your previous thread when you were waiting for a cystoscopy. Is this how you found out?

Sorry to hear this, it really didn't sound like anything to worry about. Have you been told it's cancerous? I have no experience of bladder growths but didn't want to leave your thread unanswered.

My dad had a cancerous tumour in his bladder. He had the growth removed and had a single dose of treatment (I think it was chemotherapy - ten years ago +) that was put in his bladder. It never returned.

Hallo Widget. I followed your previous thread as your symptoms were very much like mine but you are much younger than I am and bladder cancer is usually an over 60s thing and didn't want to scare you.
I found that 90% have the cancer only in the bladder lining is slow growing and curable with a tendency to grow back though, so regular checking with a TURBT under GA..
Immunetherapy with BCG into the bladder over a long period is often undertaken.

After my Cystoscopy I had a CT scan which showed no spread outside the bladder. I expect you had one too. After my first op I left the next day. I hope you have support to baby sit your 2 little ones when needed.

If you had the op last Monday you will probably be back home now and awaiting your results. Good luck.
