I've had an anal fissure since around August last year, was prescribed the ointment in November but that hasn't healed it. I had a phone appointment with the GP who said he would refer me to the hospital.
A letter has come and it says my appointment is with the rectal surgery clinic! Nobody mentioned surgery and I'm a bit worried, is surgery the only solution or is it likely they'll try something else before that?
