Help! Ok I have taken the plunge and bought myself a mooncup. But I have questions. It feels like an awful lot of cup to stuff up to be honest, I found it quite difficult and somewhat uncomfortable. Any tips? Or is it just a nack that you get? Never used a non-applicatior tampon or a diaphrapm so placing things at the correct point is a bit new to me. If I can feel it is it in the wrong place like with tampons?

Aim for the small of your back. Maybe cutting a bit off the bottom might make you feel it less - but don't cut too much or you won't have anything to pull on!

Its supposed to sit quite low down I think. I found it took a few cycles to get used to - felt a bit achy and sore at first, fine now. I cut the stem right off - you have to reach up quite far to loosen the seal anyway, so I find I don't need the stem and that was the uncomfortable bit.

The more you use it, fold it and boil it (!), the more pliable it will become and the easier it will be to insert. I cut the whole stem off too - removal is fine, you just grab the bottom, pinch and twist a bit to release the suction. Give yourself time to get used to it, I think it takes most people a couple of months at least to feel comfortable with it.

Put it in hot/warm water first - it makes it softer

I put it in after my bath (& throw the MC in the water to soften)

It can take a while to find the best spot to place it. For me it is high up and I haven't cut any of the stem off as I wouldn't be able to reach it if I did!

Agrre it does getr easier to fod after a bit of use...
