Advice on gp error

I'm due to have surgery on Monday and my old gp hasn't closed any of my appointments in the past from 2004-2011. It now says on my medical report that I have a load of stuff ongoing when in fact I have non. Has this ever happened to anyone before, does any one know what steps I need to take to get them closed off.

Op do you mean they’ve put the medical problems you’ve had in the past on a referral? It’s good practice to do this rather than bad as it means the surgeon/anaesthetist can understand your past medical history and plan for any problems accordingly. You can ask your Gp to explain this if you want to, and you could ask them to reclassify what they’ve said are current problems to past problems, but they would be very unlikely to remove everything from your records as it could become relevant in the future if you were unwell.
