About 3 weeks I had a UTI. All the usual symptoms pain when peeing, lower abdominal pain , urgency, frequency etc. My urine was dipped and it showed an infection so I was given a week of nitrofurantoin.
I finished the course and felt a bit better although the symptoms hadn't totally gone.
Now the pain when I pee, urgency is back. My lower stomach is a bit sore too. I dipped my urine at home and it showed protein plus 1. Does this mean the infection is back?
Could it just be a bit of irritation after the UTI? Can I flush it out myself?
Prior to this, I've not had a UTi for years.
