I had tonsillitis a couple of weeks ago and when looking into my mouth I noticed a red patch on my hard palate. I had it checked by my GP at the same time as my tonsils, and he said it didn't look nasty and just to keep an eye on it. I wasn't happy so had it checked out by my dentist, who repeated it doesn't look nasty but must be an infection, maybe fungal. Gave me a rinse from the chemist to use for a week and if doesn't go I'll get a referral to oral medicine. Anyone has had anything like this and knows what might be?
