Carbamazepine side effects

Can anyone taking carbamazepine tell me what side effects they had if any? I’ve been taking it for two weeks now, for facial spasm (not epilepsy) and it does seem to be helping but I’m constantly exhausted and kind of wobbly on my feet like I might faint. I’m only taking 100mg a day though so I’m surprised if it’s affecting me to this degree when the doc says people with epilepsy can take ten times that dose. Also, has anyone continued to take it whilst pregnant? The label says it can cause problems and we are considering ttc later this year, my other option for the spasms is Botox which I don’t think you can have in pregnancy either.

patient information leaflet Here

Have you read the patient information leaflet. It can cause drowsiness. People with epilepsy increase the dose very slowly so that there body adjusts to the drowsiness.

Thank you, I have read the leaflets, I was interested in people who may have had these side effects do they go away once your body is used to it or does it continue. I guess it’s different for everybody
