little pustules on 6wks old skin

my ds has an eruption of these tiny spots/pustules, they started of as little whitehead - like an adult spot -and now are going red, as if they have burst but havent. first in the folds of skin on his neck and now over his head, face, chest and upper arms.
he is breast fed.
anyone had somthing similar?
would it be something i am eating that might have caused it, mind you he has it now a week.

I think dd2 had those, and they went away.

ds had horrible skin for the first 5-6wks. lots of spots and then red and dry skin.

I just made sure i didn't use anything on his skin except water and a bit of baby oil when it was dry. It's totally cleared up now.

DD had them they were all over her cheeks and looked worse when she cried. I think they are called Milk spots. They went over night after about 2 weeks of having them.

Mine all had them too, they are called milk spots and can look quite nasty but are harmless.

I'm pretty sure I've read that it's very common for babies to become spotty at 6 weeks but I can't remember why.

I was thinking about it today while admiring DS3's perfect skin and thinking 'he's only 2 weeks old but when he gets to 6 weeks his face will erupt'!!!

DD the same 6-7 weeks and her skin looks terrible just on her face, I thought it was a heat rash

Oh god mine has that too!!! I'm just off the phone to NHS24. Wish I'd come on here first... that'll teach me.

DD is 6wks old tomorrow and for the past 2 or 3 days her whole face and head has been covered in tiny 'whiteheads'! I thought it was an allergy. How long does it last? It's at it's worst so far today. It's like measles. She's absolutely fine in herself though. I just hope it isn't itching her.

sweet kitty i thought it was heat too,
tooth ache my ds has them now nearly 7 days.
