History: I had mild eczema throughout childhood and used E45 cream to control it. Never serious and haven't suffered in years. Wasn't like this though, more just dry patches in my elbows and knees.

Now in 20s, been under a lot of stress the last few months so that's a possible explanation. First red patch I got was on my leg about 3 months ago - couldn't get rid of it no matter what I did so just left it. Now have over 20 on my body - mainly on my boobs, face, neck and in my inner thigh/groin area. Also loads in my hair meaning I look like I have horrendous dandruff. They just keep appearing.

They aren't painful or itchy at all, just red, dry and flaky. I've been applying E45 cream constantly and shampooing with specialist shampoo but no difference.

It's really affecting my confidence, what I wear, and I can't go out without a full face of makeup as I look awful.

Any ideas?

I have booked a GP appointment but it's still 3 weeks away. Sad

What about asking a pharmacist?

Psoriasis or something fungal? Go to the chemists, they'll know and see you in a side room.

Looks possibly like psoriasis.

I agree that it might be psoriasis. I have plaques on my knees/elbows but currently suffering a flare up of guttate psoriasis and it looks like that.
Mine was triggered by a throat infection.

I think it looks like psoriasis as well. Mine can look very similar when it flares up. I'd see your GP.

Have a read about discoid eczema. Needs stronger treatment than typical eczema usually but you can ask the pharmacist for either hydrocortisone or a slightly stronger steroid cream to pop on the patches and see if they help in the meantime.
