Belly button pops out when straining

Since having DS2 I've had a rectocele and quite bad constipation.

Pilates massively helped this and I was feeling back to normal. Have had a rough few months through and dropped the Pilates and put on a bit of weight (currently 11.5 stone and 5'y).

Am back to exercising now and reducing the food intake. I've also been doing a bit of weights at the gym and quite a lot of core work but not also noticed that when am straining (tmi sorry) in crunches and also to open bowels I fee like my belly button pops out.

Is this something to overly worry about? Something I want to watch and wait with but wonder if warrants a trip to GP?

Could it be diastasis recti?

Either way worth a trip to the GP and ask for a referral to a women's health physio

It sounds like a hernia. Stop doing weights and anything that puts stress on your tummy and see your GP.

ps If you have a rectocele, you ought not to lift weights- will make it worse possibly.
