Uterine Fibroid Embolization

Has any had this done? I had it done in January and the recovery has been really hard. I’ve been the unlucky 1% who’ve passed the fibroids vaginally rather than it being reabsorbed.

First two periods were light and short. Latest one is horrendous, 5 days of heavy flooding with huge clots. Just wondering whether to call my gynae or if this is normal.

Oh dear OP it sounds like you are having a bad time.

I had the procedure done quite a few years ago and was in a lot of pain for awhile. However can't remember going through what you are experiencing.

I would suggest you contact your GP first thing for advice on what to do.
