Tonsillitis remedies, please?

What do you all do when the horrid things swell up? I'm tired, sore, and grumpy.

Gargling with salt water and aspirin helps me a little, so do plenty of ice lollies, ice cubes in my drink, and strepsils.

I think a doctor told me to could buy throat numbing spray May be hand if swallowing pills is hard.

And fizzy drinks I find go down easiest but a good lemon and chamomile tea works wonders too!

I could do with an ice lolly! Mind you, I'm not v hungry rn.

I had tonsillitis a few weeks ago and just starting to feel better.
Take paracetamol, gargle in warm salt water, keep hydrated, sleep. It's horrible.
Mine was viral, but if your temperature rises above 38 degrees, and you have white spots on your tonsils you could have a bacterial infection and need antibiotics.

Soluble co-codomol works wonders.

Gargle tcp when you feel it start up and plenty of cold milkshakes, juice, ice lollies to soothe it. The calories dont count coz you wont be feeling up to eating
