We returned from a holiday in Turkey a week ago. Since then, 1st ds was terribly ill with stomach cramps, vomiting & diarrohea (sp?) & then just as he was recovering (Fri), dd was struck down. She's now in hospital & we're waiting for the results of the tests done on her poo. I've haven't really slept since we came back from hols & am now feeling really depressed. I've come home for a few hours to shower & change & eat something but I just can't. Dd has been better for about 4 hrs but she was terribly ill. I've never seen anything like it. I've got to go back soon & am feeling so guilty for wanting to just lie down & go to sleep. And we still don't know what the children had/have, just that it's bacterial. Anybody with similar experience or know more?

Perhaps? But everyone is different and we all react in our ways - some people may have gone to pieces whilst the child was in hospital others may take longer.

Whats your doctor like? Why don't you go and have a chat on Monday?

lol

he's on holiday & not back for another 10 days! He knows about all this & said it would pass but that was 2 weeks ago. It sounds melodramatic but I feel like I'm about to have a breakdown. If only the dc were back at school then I'd be able to calm down a little, I think.

Sorry I didn't reply last night - went to bed.

Do you have any support around that can help you with the children, lend a ear etc?

Hi Chipstick,

I had a bit of breakdown yesterday - cried & cried while dh sat down on the floor with me & held me. Darling man! It was a huge relief to get it all out.

I've organised some daily activities for the dc this week so that should help.

Thanks xx
