Toxoplasmosis concerns

Hi ,

I'm just wondering if anyone knows about
Toxoplasmosis.

Today I went out in my sister car,
I just touched a little bit of dried bird poop. I rushed home and cleaned my hands thoroughly before eating my fish and chips

My concern is , that i touched the paper my fish and chips had been wrapped up in
And my tomato sauce leaked through the paper and worried that I may now have put myself at risk for toxoplasmosis, is this possible.

Looking for reassurance

FYI I suffer from OCD which I'm seeing a doc for already

I've replied to your other thread. Your reaction is quite extreme. It's the ocd

It is highly unlikely that you have got toxoplasmosis. Toxoplasmosis is harmless in healthy adults. Most healthy adults wouldn't even know they had it, and once you have had it you are immune for life. It only causes problems if you are pregnant or have a weak immune system, so please do not worry.

@Mamamia456 yes I am pregnant being induced this Sunday. But I know this is an extreme reaction. I am currently getting help with OCD, funnily enough it only started at around 20 weeks and I was so relaxed in the beginning and everything was fine. But unfortunately these thoughts sometimes I can't control.

It's early pregnancy where it can cause problems, so please don't worry. The chance of you having got it are so minimal that you really don't have anything to worry about. Just look forward to having your baby, How exciting!

@Mamamia456 so exciting. And thanks so much for the reassurance. I will sleep better tonight ☺️
