The dreaded pin worm

Don’t know if I am posting on the right one. New here.

I’ve had pin worms 3 times in 2 years. I’m a clean person & seem to be the only one who contracts them. I’m a cleaner for a job and consider myself clean. Always washing hands, clean house hoovered and all that jazz. I only ever find one (take the medication) and that’s it. Then like 8/9 months later I have another one. Has anyone else had anything like this happen and can put some light on the subject.

Thank you x

Hi
You are getting reinfected - its probable that someone you associate with or someone you clean for has untreated or regular pin/threadworms. I was a teacher and used to catch them fairly regularly from the lovely children. Occupational hazard - but the medication is effective. Do you bite your nails? I suspect that is where a lot of threadworm transmission comes from.

I work in a hotel, but I also travel by bus in theory there is loads of places I could catch them from? But yes I do bite my nails. It’s the worse thing to do. I’ve taken the medication as well as my daughter it’s just annoying! I always seem to catch them at the beginning though. Thank you xx

We had a stage of this, 4yr old plus school nursery = bad

I found constantly taking the medicine every couple of weeks put an end to it. Good luck, it's not much fun
