Keep wetting myself/leaking pee

I'm only 19 and this has been going on for almost a year now.
Even when my bladder isn't full small amounts of pee keep leaking out even if I cough or when taking steps etc.
An example of this is yesterday when I was out shopping and the whole time felt like pee was going to flood out of me, managed to wait with only small leaks. Eventually when walking home most of it came out and my jeans were soaked.
This keeps happening to me, and every time I go out I'm worried about wetting myself.
What can I do? I don't want to visit the GP as I'm too embarrassed 😭

This is not an uncommon problem and there’s often a very simple solution. You need to see a GP. Request a female one and remember that they are not even slightly phased by this sort of conversation. You owe it to yourself to sort this out-imagine what advice you’d give your best friend in this situation? Call the GP! Hope all is sorted soon.

So you don't want to go to someone that's medically trained to deal with it, you'd rather ask randoms on the internet 🤦🏻‍♀️

I have same. 2 kids and am 46. Use Tena pads, keep meaning to look up excercises to help!
