I was wondering if someone might the able to answer some questions for me.
I have worn specks since being a child but the last two times that I have gone for new glasses I have ended up taking them back as I just couldn’t get used to them. This was despite being retested and having new lenses fitted.
I am now at the point where my glasses are 6 years old and really need replacing.
I have been wondering if the problems could be caused by having my lenses thinned much more than I have done before?
I have a high prescription as I am very long sighted and have an astigmatism in one eye.
Could anyone tell me whether thinning the lenses might cause me to struggle to see or whether there may be something else that I need to look at?

Shameless bump for the evening posters.
Any wisdom would be appreciated

Better go back to the opticians and tell them exactly what you asked here. Sorry I cannot advise more.
